We believe in creating pieces that embody the relaxed elegance of island living while honoring Balinese artisan traditions.
About Us
Our Vision
We celebrate the beauty of Balinese artistry, from hand-tie-dyed textiles to traditional batik stamping. We’re passionate about preserving and sharing these beautiful craft traditions with the world, reimagining them through modern, thoughtfully designed pieces.
Our Philosophy
Concious Craftsmanship
Our collections are made in small batches, with mindful production and deep respect for the local makers, fathers involved in dyeing and stamp batik, and mothers who carefully sew and finish each garment.
Made for Comfort
We understand Bali’s hot and humid climate, which is why every piece is made with lightweight, soft, and breathable rayon to keep you comfortable all day. Our relaxed maxi silhouettes allow air to circulate freely around the body, creating beautiful drapes while giving you ease of movement throughout your day.
Every Piece is Unique
Because of the handmade process of hand tie-dye and batik stamp, no patterns are exactly alike. Each piece has its own character.
Made to Fit
Because every body is different, selected pieces can be customized in length for a more personal fit.
Laras & Oom
Laras is the dreamer behind Tulalara. Balinese tie-dye 'tulang' pattern can have it's own meaning. But for her, when it's moving with the breeze, it reminds her of the shimmer of sun glitter in beaches which she loves. She finds so much potential of this artistery and dreamed to share its beauty to the world.
Oom, Laras's mother, is the maker. A skilled tailor with a lifetime of expertise, she is the one who brings every design to life. Growing up, what looked like window shopping was actually Oom quietly inspecting fabrics and assessing quality, a habit that never left her. Every Tulalara piece passes through her hands and her exacting eye before it reaches yours.
